Itinerary:
When you arrive in Huaraz, our staff will be waiting for you at the bus terminal to transfer you to the hotel, booked by us. After that you will be presented to "Enrique Expedition Tours" and your trekking guide will inform you about the last details of our expedition of the TREKKING PERÚ - CEDROS ALPAMAYO VAQUERIA - LAKE 69.
1st day.- Huaraz – Caraz – Hualcallán (3140 m).
Pick up at the hotel and departure to the north of Huaraz towards the city of Caraz. We will drive further to the village of Hualcallán, where we will find the pre-Inca archaeological remains. There we will visit some chullpas (stone tombs) of the same name, which served to bury the dead. This village gives us the opportunity of a good acclimatization and also to share local customs with the settlers.
2nd day.- Hualcallán (3,140 m.s.n.m) – Wishcash (4040 m).
We will start the day on a zig-zag path up with an increasingly impressive view of different colored hills and the Santa river in front. This night we will stay in Wishcash, which means in Quechua “Vizcacha”, place with a stunning sunset.
3rd day.- Wishcash (4040 m) – Osorurish (4600 m).
We will leave very early to see the lakes of Yanacocha and Chaquicocha. Afterwards we will arrive at lake Cullicocha with the impressive Mount Santa Cruz (6259 m) in its background. Continuing the way we will reach Osorurish pass (4850 m), where we will have a view of Mount Milluacocha (5480 m) and part of the valley of Cedros with pre-Inca terraces. We will stay the night Osorurish.
4th day.- Osorurish (4600 m) – Jancarurish (4250 m).
After crossing Alpamayo pass (4750 m), we will descend to the village of Alpamayo, a place where we will meet yards and homes of pre-Incas.
After a break we will continue the way up to Jancarurish, where we can enjoy the views of Mount Jancarurish (5601 m) and Alpamayo (5947 m).
5th day.- Jancarurish (4250 m) – Huillca (4000 m).
After we will leave the Alpamayo valley and cross the pass of Cara Cara (4850 m), we will get to the Callejón de Conchucos (Alley of Conchucos), with a panoramic view of the mountains Tayapampa (5675 m), Pilanco (5300 m) and North Pucajirca (6046 m). While descending we will see the lakes of Safuna (4247
m) and continue the way through the valley Tayapampa to the camp of Huillca.
6th day.- Huillca (4000 m) – Yeguacorral (3600 m).
This day we will cross the pass Coyota (4360 m) to see the lakes Grampayoc and Millpo. Afterwards we will pass by Ventanilla (4250 m) until we reach at Yeguacorral, where we will spend the night.
7th day.- Yeguacorral (3600 m) – Quisuar (3800 m).
Early in the morning we will take the valley Jancapampa to arrive at the hamlet of Pishgopampa and ascend to the pass of Tupatupa (4360 m) with its view of Mount Taulliraju (5830 m). We will continue along the valley of Tuctubamba until camp Quisuar.
8th day.- Quisuar (3800 m) – Huishcash (4200 m).
After breakfast we will depart to climb Pucaraju pass (4640 m). From this point we will have an excellent view of the valley Huaripampa and the mountains Taulliraju and Pucaraju (5025 m). Overnight we will stay in camp Huishcash.
9th day.- Quebrada of Paria (3870 m) Vaqueria (3850 m) – Portachuelo – Cebollapampa.
While hiking along the valley we will get to see picturesque small villages like Yurma, Chalhua, Huaripampa, Colcabamba and have a spectacular view of Chacraraju. From this village to the village Vaquería we will go by bus until we arrive at Cebollapama (Lake of Llanganuco). First we will pass over Portachuelo pass (4767 m), from where we can observe the main mountains of the Cordillera Blanca like Mount Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Huandoy, Pisco, Chacraraju, Yanapaccha. Afterwards we will hike downhill to our camp in Cebollapampa.
10th day.- Cebollapampa (3900 m) – Lake 69 (4400 m) – Huaraz.
From the camp in the valley of Cebollapampa we will head to Lake 69. After a 3 hour walk we will arrive to the lake, that lies at the foot of Mount Chacraraju and can appreciate its beautiful green turquoise color. After returning to the camp we will take the bus of "Enrique Expedition Tours" who will bring us back to Huaraz and your Hotel.

- Dear customers, we recommend making a reservation in advance, so that the price is more economical.
- This advance reservation is carried out 7 months before your arrival date to Huaraz.
- The reservation is made with a deposit of 40% of the total price and 60% need to be paid upon your arrival to Huaraz (Office of Enrique Expedition Tours - Huaraz.).
- After our company, "Enrique Expedition Tours" confirms your reservation deposit we will be sending via e-mail a voucher of the reservation confirmation, where we explain all the details of the itinerary follow upon your arrival to Huaraz. The money of the reservation will be deposited in a bank account of our travel and tourism agency, that we can access if you request.
